For a stylish, romantic party setting one of our favorite wedding venues in the Philadelphia area is historic Appleford Estates in Villanova. Having catered many fine celebrations over the years at this scenic property, we know you will be inspired by the natural beauty and cultivated charm of this Mainline country estate. The mature gardens around the fieldstone house have always allowed us to create a catered experience that uses the entire property: from an open-air ceremony on the lawn next to the waterfall, to cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in the Rose Garden and a dinner dance under the tent on the Main Terrace.

As you can see from these lovely photographs taken at a wedding we catered at Appleford, the house and grounds allow you to create a wedding as if you are celebrating at your own home. Even though the venue accommodates up to 225 guests comfortably, the setting is intimate and garden-style in true Gatsby-fashion. Schedule your event early enough in the day to let them wander and lounge on the lawns or by the creek before inviting them under the tent for a delicious sit-down dinner, dancing and merriment. That's what Appleford is all about. And, since it is located just 20 minutes from downtown Philadelphia, Appleford is not only a photographer's dream backdrop but also conveniently situated for group transportation needs from city hotels.
